Engineered in full compliance with AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute) standards, the 6X19+IWRC 304 Stainless Steel Wire Rope is an industry-standard workhorse cable designed for high-load hoisting, marine rigging, and demanding industrial applications. Constructed with 6 strands of 19 wires wrapped around an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), this 100% stainless steel structure provides exceptional structural resistance against crushing, heavy dynamic shock, and intense outdoor exposure.

Manufactured from high-purity AISI 304 (1.4301) stainless steel, this wire rope offers outstanding resistance to atmospheric rust, freshwater oxidation, and industrial chemical exposure. Supported by custom manufacturing services, it can be tailored to exact customer specifications regarding diameter, breaking load, surface finish, lay direction, and cut-to-length requirements.

Type 304 and Type 304L have very similar chemical and mechanical properties andare often included on a single material test certificate when the actual properties ofa stainless steel plate meet the criteria of both types. This is a very commonoccurrence.Type 304L is a variation of Type 304 and has a lower carbon contentwhich improves weld ability and lowers the risk of reduced corrosion resistancearound the weld. Type 304L also has a slightly lower yield and tensile strength thanType 304.
