The difference between colored sling and white sling

Slings are widely used in our daily lives, especially in large-scale lifting operations, where they play an important role. The fabric of the slings is soft and will not cause scratches on the surface of the blades. It is easy to carry when going out and is very suitable for large-scale outdoor lifting operations.

There are not only many types of lifting slings, but also many colors. Different colors represent different carrying tonnages.According to the standard color lifting slings, the tonnage is distinguished by color. Purple represents 1 ton, green represents 2 tons, yellow represents 3 tons, gray represents 4 tons, red represents 5 tons, brown represents 6 tons, blue represents 8 tons, and orange represents 10 tons; in addition to these colors, there is also black , yellow slings, they are designed for some special operating environments.

There is also a white sling. In fact, most white slings on the market are made of polypropylene PP. However, polypropylene is not resistant to aging and suffers serious strength loss over time. Single polypropylene is acid-resistant and is suitable for special working places, such as pickling pools.

Conventional lifting operations require stable and high-strength slings. The national standard double-layer lifting belts are distinguished by color tonnage, and the lifting coefficient is not less than 6 times. The materials are all high-strength polyester.

White slings are also available, but polypropylene slings must not be colored because polypropylene yarn cannot be dyed. The lifting coefficient of polypropylene slings on the market is usually only between 2 and 3 times, and even less than 2 times. Due to the ductility of polypropylene, this kind of sling that is much lower than the industry standard will stretch and deform during hoisting, which poses a great safety hazard. And when the hoisted object lifts off the ground, the huge pulling force far greater than the hoisted object's own weight will cause it to collapse instantly.
