Wire rope use to a certain degree of damage, must be in accordance with the provisions of the scrapping, the scrapping standards are as follows.
(1)Wire rope wire wear or corrosion reaches or exceeds the original wire diameter of more than 40%, it should be scrapped. Within 40% should be downgraded to use.
(2)When the entire outer surface of the rope is corroded to the point where it can be easily seen by the naked eye, it should be scrapped.
(3)Wire ropes exposed to fire or localized arcing shall be scrapped.
(4)The wire rope shall be scrapped when it is flattened and deformed, or when there are strands or wires extruded, or when there are deformations in the shape of cage, or when the diameter of the rope increases locally, or when it is kinked, or when it is bent.
(5) The wire rope shall be scrapped when the rope diameter is significantly reduced (up to 7%) due to damage to the core of the wire rope.
