The protection of any wire pulley only provides protection during transportation (maximum two months).It should be noted that if the storage of wire ropes has good conditions, the wire rope wheel can be stored indefinitely for a long time. If the wire rope must be stored on the wire rope pulley for a long time, the following conditions should be guaranteed:
1. It must be stored under moisture-proof, dust-proof and other environmental conditions, and the packaging material itself must be suitable for long-term storage (warehouse, steel material protection, etc.). In any case, the wire rope pulley should be placed horizontally.
2. Do not expose to high temperature environment;
3. In hot climate conditions, for oiled wire ropes, the wire rope pulley must roll half a turn every two months to prevent grease from dripping or local accumulation, resulting in uneven grease content in the wire rope;
4. Special attention should be paid to completely protecting the product protection provided by the manufacturer. At the beginning or end of the storage of wire ropes, the condition of the wire rope pulley must be inspected and the inspection results must be marked;
5. Keep the nameplate and quality certificate on the wire rope pulley to identify the wire rope. The nameplate and quality certificate are provided by the supplier, and the various contents of the steel wire rope manufacturing should be indicated;
6. During storage of wire ropes, they should be placed on an appropriate bracket to ensure that there is an appropriate space between the wire rope and the ground, and to avoid direct contact between the wire rope and the ground.
